About the Richmond Division of Family Practice
Partnering with Richmond family physicians on community health improvements to enhance patient care
The Richmond Division of Family Practice (RDFP) is a non-profit, member-led organization dedicated to strengthening primary care in Richmond, British Columbia. We support family physicians, foster collaboration across the healthcare system, and lead initiatives that improve access to care and community health outcomes.
By bringing together family physicians, healthcare providers, and community partners, we help improve access to care, strengthen health outcomes, and support the well-being of Richmond residents.

RDFP Initiatives that Support Richmond Family Physicians
The RDFP leads and supports initiatives that strengthen family practice, primary care, and community health. Through the Richmond Primary Care Network (PCN), the Long-Term Care Initiative (LTCI) , the Richmond Attachment Program, and the MOA Network, we work with family doctors in Richmond and their teams to improve patient care, connect unattached patients, and build a stronger, more supportive health system.
Richmond Primary Care Networks (PCN)
The Richmond Primary Care Networks (PCN) bring care teams together to focus on each patient’s health. Residents also get access to free services like physiotherapy, counselling, and more.
Long Term Care Initiative (LTCI)
The Long-Term Care Initiative (LTCI) empowers Richmond family physicians to create local, scalable solutions that improve patient care in long-term care homes. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in your community.
Richmond Attachment Program (RAP)
The Richmond Attachment Program (RAP) connects unattached vulnerable patients in Richmond, like moms, complex care, and newcomers, with family physicians who have capacity to accept new patients.
MOA Network
The MOA Network is a professional development and networking group that supports Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) through events, recruitment, holiday coverage, peer mentorship, career support, and the bi-monthly newsletter The Richmond MOA Minute.

RDFP is a member-driven, non-profit organization guided by a Board of Directors composed of local family physicians. Our Board provides strategic leadership and oversight to ensure our work reflects the needs of physicians and the broader Richmond community.
