About the Richmond Division

The Richmond Division of Family Practice (RDFP) supports Richmond Family Physicians with health system improvement to enhance patient care: in their profession, in their practice, and with health system evolution. We identify and solve practice-specific challenges, develop the Richmond Primary Care Network, recruit more health care professionals, improve long-term care, create professional development and networking opportunities for members and their teams, and promote Physician wellness, work-life balance, and team-based care.

Our Initiatives

Richmond Primary Care Networks (PCN)

The Richmond Primary Care Networks (PCN) connect the different members of a patient’s care team in a coordinated way, so that everyone is working together with that patient’s health goals in mind. The PCN also provides Richmond residents with access to many free services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, counselling, and more.

Richmond Attachment Program (RAP)

The RAP accepts referrals of unattached vulnerable patients (e.g., moms and babes, complex care, newcomers, or MHSU patients) and matches them to Division members who have capacity to accept new patients.

Long Term Care Initiative (LTCI)

The LTCI supports Richmond family physicians to build local, scalable, and sustainable solutions that improve patient care in long-term care homes.

MOA Network

The MOA Network is a professional development and networking group that supports Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) through events, recruitment, holiday coverage, peer mentorship, career support, and the bi-monthly newsletter The Richmond MOA Minute.
